OPEN DAY

Monday 21 August, 2006 - 10:01 by Dave & Cora Hooper in Default

views (234) | rating ooooo (0 votes)

Thankyou to everyone who supported our Bush Fire Brigade Fundraiser. Everyone who attended had a wonderful time and many people left with that quintessential feeling which is special to Quaama and districts.

Come & check out the quaint and quintessential country lifestyle of the south coast & especially Quaama.

There were workshops for the kids run by our local Family Day Care ladies and wooden toys from the Toy Man to play with.

Market stalls for BBQ food, good coffee, plants, clothing, furniture, garden decor, local olives, glass art, paintings, sculpture, trinkets, trash & treasure.  Everyone had a great time and made good sales on the day.

Live music was hosted by local celebrity Damon Davies who introduced the following acts. Kara Coen who writes & performs her own music and sings with great maturity & passion. Also the local Highland Piper followed by Jim Lay, Alan Leak, Hendrik de Vries, the man himself Damon, The Quaama Band, No More Biscuits and also a hot new Sydney band Shyless took us into the evening.

A raffle was run to benefit the Fire Brigade with 2 major prizes of Spa Suite accommodation and 6 prizes of wine donated by Bermagui Cellars. Drawn on the day and major prizes won by Bega & Brogo residents!

We hope to present more music evenings in the future.
